This page describes what personal data and technical information the RECONNECT website may process, for what purposes, on what legal basis, and what rights you have as a visitor to the site.

What Data We Process

If you enter your email address in the newsletter form, we process your email address and the URL of the page from which you signed up, for the purpose of confirming your subscription and sending news about the festival and conference. The legal basis is your consent under Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR, which you may withdraw at any time.

We manage the newsletter using the Kit service. Upon submission of the form, Kit may process the email address, subscription information, and technical data necessary for delivering the confirmation, unsubscribing, and sending newsletters.

Email Communication

If you contact us by email, we process the information contained in the message, typically your email address, name, and the content of your enquiry. The purpose is to handle your message. The legal basis is the legitimate interest of the controller, or preparation for a potential collaboration or contract.

Technical Operation of the Website

When you visit the website, technical logs may be generated that are necessary for the security, availability, and diagnostics of the site, for example, IP address, browser type, time of request, and URL. The legal basis is the legitimate interest in the secure and reliable operation of the website.

Cookies and Local Storage

Required local storage remembers your cookie choice for 180 days. Analytics and Marketing are off by default; Google loads only after consent to at least one optional category. Analytics consent allows Google Analytics 4 to measure page visits using cookie identifiers and technical device information. Marketing consent allows Google advertising storage, personalization and remarketing. The legal basis for optional processing is consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. Change or withdraw consent at any time using Cookie settings in the footer; withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of previous processing. Consent is not required to use the website. The smsticket checkout loads separately only on request on the Tickets page and may use its own cookies and process technical data under its own terms. The app.reconnect.cz application manages consent separately.

Retention Periods

Newsletter email addresses are retained until consent is withdrawn or the newsletter ends. Correspondence and operational logs are retained as necessary to handle enquiries, protect legal claims and secure the website. Cookie choices are saved for 180 days. GA4 cookies are configured to expire within 180 days of their last update. Withdrawal clears accessible measurement cookies for this website. Data already sent is subject to retention configured in Google; contact the controller for details and deletion requests.

Recipients and Data Transfers

Recipients may include hosting and technical service providers, the newsletter service Kit, smsticket s.r.o. after checkout is requested, and Google Ireland Limited and Google LLC for consented analytics or advertising services. Google processing may involve transfers to the USA and other countries outside the EU/EEA under the terms and transfer mechanisms of the relevant service. Contact the controller for details of recipients and applicable safeguards. We do not sell personal data.

Your Rights

You have the right to request access to your personal data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and to object to processing. Where processing is based on consent, you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time. You may unsubscribe from the newsletter via the unsubscribe link in any email, or by contacting the controller. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Office for Personal Data Protection.

Marketing consent may allow advertising audiences and personalized advertising. This website does not make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects. Providing a newsletter email is optional; without it, we cannot send you the newsletter.
